Hey there, Kacie Main!
Kacie released her debut book – I Gave Up Men for Lent, the story of a jaded, hopelessly romantic, health-conscious party girl’s search for meaning in February 2019. Born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida, she enjoyed a successful career in the corporate world – from public relations and health care sales to human resources and operations – before leaving it all behind to pursue her dream of becoming a full-time writer.
In this episode, we learned how giving up men (and a few other things) for Lent sparked Kacie's passion to be a writer and ultimately changed the course of her life. While her story itself is unique, it is one to which we can all relate. From feeling stuck in a career, falling for the wrong guys or dealing with familial tensions, she has BEEN there, DONE that. Through her book and our discussion, she proves that with intention and hard work, you can unearth your authentic self and live your truth.
